Boredom
In times of depression or confinement, can boredom become a catalyst for creativity?
Collection of 40 sculptures of “resinous slag” from incense sticks burned in my studio.
Most of the time, this burnt resin immediately vanishes into ashes, but sometimes it transforms into a frail sculpture standing on its thin, equally precarious pedestal.
Before they collapse, these sculptures are immediately photographed.
All that remains now is the two-dimensional photographic document. Their approximate alphabet appearance makes a collection of 40 signs.
The scenography presents the word BOREDOM in a monumental way while the collection is installed at real size.
